Whats the deal with girls and teams?
Due to the number of girl’s teams and the common occurrence of girls playing with boys at the youth level, we are offering 3 options for play.
- Girls teams are able to enter for the U10, U12, U12, U16, & U18 divisions where they will play in their own specific division against other girls only teams.
- Girls teams where the age division is not full/appropriate may play in the boys division with 1 year seniority or and older division. (I.E. if a girls teams is U13, they may play in U12 boys, or U 14 girls)
- Girls on a team with boys may play with 1 year seniority regardless of the age bracket. (I.E. if a girl is playing on a U10 boys team, she may enter if she no older than the U11 age bracket cutoff)
Based on these 3 factors we will work with all girl’s teams accordingly to ensure the best possible experience and competition.
What to Expect:
Whether you come for the football, fun, or friends, you will surely have a good time at the APFT. We schedule the games in the best possible format to ensure that you trip maximizes playing time, while not sitting around the fields all day long. This gives you plenty of time to take in the sights, enjoy great food, bring back some unique things for friends and family, or just lounge by a pool and relax.
